Yesterday we saw the start of a revolution… A revolution that was inevitable and will change the way we read.

I am a big fan of The Onion, and when they started coming out with video I was ecstatic! Their dry sense of humor with their ridiculous yet scarily-close-to-reality mimics have always been a true inspiration to me. Somewhere in mid-2008, I remember watching this oddball less-than-plausible but still hilarious as usual sketch called “Apple Introduces Revolutionary Laptop Without Keyboard.” In 2008 the idea seemed ridiculous, but nowadays, at the top of a new century, we have exactly what The Onion was mocking as ridiculous: A keyboardless laptop. Without realizing it, The Onion had predicted the iPad in their strange Onion-like way! I completely forgot about it until my friend Irene Koehler from Almost Savvy posted it on Facebook today – I just had to share this with my readers. Thanks Irene!

After a breathtaking 45 minutes, we were all waiting to hear what the cost of the iPad would be.

It seems the breakdown is a bit more complex than we thought:

16GB  with 3G/wifi: $629

16GB without 3G: $499

32GB with 3G/wifi: $729

32 without 3G: $599

We all waited for it for so long! Here it is!
