So I’m standing in the Apple store using the iPad with the rest of the world. I’ve used it before but really haven’t gotten the chance to use it in any practical way before today. So since I have a few hours to kill, I decided to get on one of thtese and use them for my regular daily routine and see how it matches up to one of it’s counterparts – the iPhone or iMac. Of course, it’s not fair to compare a fully functional computer to a handheld device no matter how over-hyped.

Sick of Apple rumors? Burnt out by the iPad? Too bad – the rumor mill goes on! on the 26th, Apple were granted a patent on a proximity sensitive Input/Output platform. An Input/Output (or I/O) platform is any platform that helps a computing device communicate with the outside world. The details of the patent are as follows:

Ford

Ford has had a hell of a year. They spent way too much time in Washington, filed for bankruptcy, got out of bankruptcy just months after, fired a boatload of workers, and that’s just on the surface. The most important thing that happened to Ford is that they got humble. Ford started becoming a people’s car company instead of a faceless luxury automobile manufacturer.

In a surprise announcement, Apple have not (Apple never leaks) leaked that the Apple Tablet can be announced as soon as tomorrow morning, and as late as tomorrow evening. These rumors are expected to fizzle off somewhere around tomorrow afternoon, as all tech conferences and conventions end, and as Apple will still remain under a silent shroud. In approximately three weeks, another rumor will rise that will trump this Tablet Release Release Release Announcement – and confirm that the next rumor will be scheduled for an unforeseeable date in the future. That unforeseeable date will be seven days later, and the actual tablet will be announced to be announced to be released somewhere in 2011. Until then, Apple suggests you glue 15 iPod touches together.
