The interweb has been bombarded with new ways to do everything. Some of it stick, and some of it sucks. But one thing’s for sure – when something does come around that’s truly great – it gets noticed, gets used, gets spread, and becomes a regular every-day-use feature in our 1000+ click days. Commenting systems are no different. While Blogger, in my eyes, is a complete failure in general – its commenting system sucks even more. Its text-editing has no kitchen sink, and their idea of innovation is to finally allow you to sign in with Wordpress, TypePad, and Google IDs. Fan-freaking-tastic. Wordpress.com has its limitations – but at least they’re explainable – and have a self-hosting do-whatever-you-want alternative. Meh – didn’t really raise any eyebrows for me. And I only have two – so raising all my eyebrows shouldn’t be difficult.
